'Mama, I Love You: A Journey Home.' is an A4 graphic novel which follows a narrative centred around the bond between a mother and daughter, with a focus on the daughter’s journey to comprehend her cultural identity. The storyline will unfold as an imaginative, creative, and heartfelt tale, inviting readers to understand the hardships of 1st generational immigrants. This story will be inspired by my background, focusing on a Polish cultural perspective.
The main character, Ania, is a 12-year-old girl of an immigrant mother from a Slavic background.
The book is intended to be for a specific audience of pre-teen girls aged 10-14. While the narrative is designed for those with an immigrant background, it welcomes readers from all types of backgrounds.
